About Our Blog

A blog for Colorado Lions Multiple District 6 (MD6) provides a centralized platform to communicate, recruit members, and highlight impact across local communities.

1.     Centralize Updates Across All Districts:  MD6 encompasses multiple districts (6C, 6SE, 6NE, and 6W) spanning the entire state. A state-level blog bridges communication gaps between clubs, providing a single hub for state convention news, Council of Governors updates, and statewide service initiatives.

2.     Boost Local SEO & Member Recruitment: Potential members and volunteers across Colorado frequently search online for community service opportunities. Publishing blog posts rich with local search terms (e.g., "volunteering in Denver," "vision screening events in Pueblo") improves search engine rankings, helping prospective Lions find your clubs.

3.     Share In-Depth Impact Stories:  While social media works well for quick photos, a blog allows space to share long-form success stories—such as highlights from the Colorado Lions Camp, KidSight Colorado vision screenings, or disaster relief efforts. Sharing deep, human-centered stories builds public trust and attracts donors or grant opportunities.

4.     Provide Timely Information: Unlike static website pages or monthly static PDFs, a blog makes it easy to quickly publish time-sensitive content:

·        Event recaps and photo galleries

·        Profiles of outstanding Lion members or new club charters

·        Important announcements from Lions Clubs International (LCI)

·        Guidelines or toolkits for local club officers

·        Repurpose Content Across Channels

·        A single blog post can serve as the core narrative for multiple channels:

·        Excerpt the post in monthly district email newsletters.

·        Link to the post across Facebook and Instagram to drive traffic back to your main domain.

Many hands make short work of the project.    All Lions Clubs  are invited to bring their unsorted glasses and some of their Lions to help.  The sorted glasses will then go to COLERC.   Since this is on a Saturday, it is a great opportunity to bring your family and friends.   Event:         Lions Recycled Eyeglass Sorting Date:           Saturday, Oct 17, 2026 Time:           9:00 am to noon Snacks:       Coffee, beverages, and pastry Location:    Baptist Church, 1373 Grant St, Denver Parking:      Next to the church.  Please stop by the church office to obtain a parking tag.  Room:         The sorting room is on the lower floor.  An ...
